Step 1: D-U-N-S Number

Prerequisites – Have these ready first

Before starting, make sure you have all of the following:

  1. A D-U-N-S® Number

  2. Legal Entity

    • You must be a legally recognized organization (LLC, Corporation, etc.).

    • Apple does not accept sole proprietorships or DBAs.

  3. Authority to Sign Legal Agreements

    • You must be the company’s owner/founder, or someone with legal authority (like legal/tech lead) to enroll on behalf of the company.

  4. Business Website & Domain Email (Recommended)

    • A website and matching domain email (e.g. you@yourcompany.com) build credibility.

    • Apple prefers company-owned domains over personal ones like @gmail.com.

  5. Apple ID

    • You’ll need an Apple ID that has never been used for a Developer account before.

    • This Apple ID must not be a Managed Apple ID (from Apple Business Manager).
